Who We Are
IAWP International is a nonprofit educational association representing 17,000 professionals worldwide who work in public and private workforce development programs. The mission of IAWP is to enhance, serve, and support those interested in workforce development programs. Membership is available to anyone interested in advancing workforce development.

South Dakota IAWP is part of District X, which includes the states of South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri. South Dakota Chapter has four sub-chapters, Black Hills, Lake Area, Southeast, and Northern Plains. In the South Dakota Chapter we extend the IAWP objectives through our local sub-chapter by doing educational, community service, inter-agency activities, and recognitions. The state chapter hosts an annual conference and business meeting once a year, usually in April.
What We Do
IAWP provides a variety of useful member services from its international office in Frankfort, Ky. The office supports IAWP objectives through education, communication, and research. Our objectives include enhancing job competence, supporting administrators in program improvement, and fostering a close working relationship with partner organizations.
